You can explore the valleys of the Hohe Tauern national park and the Wildkogel hiking area (accessible via cabin lift) by bike or on foot. On various marked hiking and biking routes, nature shows itself from its best side. Bikers will find challenging ascents, family-friendly tracks and breathtaking trails – the new Nine Knights Trail is an extraordinary downhill experience.
Mountaineers enjoy themselves conquering the imposing peaks higher than 3,000 m. Climbing the Großvenediger (Salzburg’s highest mountain, 3,666 m) is one of the best mountain tours in the Hohe Tauern national park. However, the Kitzbühel Alps have peaks higher than 2,000 m too, which offer a stunning panorama view.
A lot of exciting activities present athletic challenges. Whether you prefer paragliding, high rope courses, canyoning, whitewater tubing or archery – we guarantee you an active holiday. The summer programme of the Wildkogel also offers a lot for your children and has a special children’s programme with the mascots Kogel-Mogel and Kogel-Mia.
Day trips to the surroundings, for example to the museum in Bramberg, the Krimml waterfalls, the Großglockner High Alpine Road, the mountain reservoirs in Kaprun, Mozart’s home town Salzburg, the Swarovski Crystal Worlds in Wattens, going gold panning in Rauris or a trip to the Olympic city Innsbruck provide some interesting alternatives.
