In these two facilities, young researchers may satisfy their urge for knowledge and their curiosity. By means of experiments, interactive models and the national park rangers’ extensive knowledge, they discover life and climate in the high mountaints, the geology of the Hohe Tauern window, etc. A small selection of the bookable modules:

  • survival in the high mountains – alpine ecology (from the age of 8)
  • national park microwave (from the age of 8)
  • experiencing the national park with ears wide open (from the age of 8)
  • the formation of a mountain (from the age of 11)
  • rocks and minerals (from the age of 11)
  • altitudinal belts – a journey to the Arctic (from the age of 11)
  • weather and climate lab (from the age of 11)
  • snowflakes and worlds made of ice (from the age of 11)

Place: National Park Worlds Mittersil
Target group: from the age of 8
Duration:

4 hours (1 module at the Science centre and guided visit of the National Park Worlds) or
2 hours (1 module at the Science centre)

Opening times: 9am to 6pm every day
Costs:
€ 100,-p. school class - 1 module at the Science centre
€ 150,-p. school class - 1 module at the Science centre and guided             visit of the National Park Worlds)
