The mountain pasture Trisslalm, which has been in the family since 1912, is situated in the Wildgerlostal valley in the village Krimml, at 1,584 m.a.s.l. In 2012, the Trisslalm was named “Mountain Pasture of the Year” together with two other model pastures of the Hohe Tauern national park. In the course of a project with the Polytechnic school in Mittersill, the old woodturning hut in the Wildgerlostal valley was renovated. In this hut, basic commodities were woodturned out of pine until the 1960s. The water power of the torrent was used to operate the turning lathe and the bench grinder via a water wheel. Nowadays, the hut is a place where you will get information about the Swiss Pine and the old handicraft of woodturning. A guided hike will take you there..
