The national park has always been known for its crystals. This exhibition displays particularly beautiful specimens. The crystals are displayed in well-designed, perfectly lit showcases and mesmerise the visitor, who can discover the beauty and the multiformity of regional minerals like nowhere else. The secrets of the formation of minerals and joints will be explained and selected emeralds, the biggest smoky quartz of the Eastern Alps, bizarre epidotes, the huge skeletal quartz, rock crystals, sphenes and fluorites show the variety of regional minerals. Videos and animations show how mineral deposits can be found and how they used to be mined.
